'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought-
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Mankind
What will we turn into?
I believe Paradise existed once but now we remember it as in a Hyperouranos world. Paradise vanished when the Humankind rose.
Science, literature, arts and ways of thinking have been developed over the time times and all this development has changed us into what we are today. On account of all these changes, we are believed to be the most intelligent beings on earth.
But are we REALLY the most intelligent beings on the Earth’s surface?
If we look back at our past, we notice that the world has changed from the very first moment we started to breathe.
At the beginning, when we lived on hunting, fishing, farming and livestock in little communities, which helped each other , we were within the balance of nature, I mean, we took from the land just what we needed to survive but there was no human exploitation. At that time medicines hadn’t been invented and only some herbs were used to cure wounds and diseases. Thus, only the stronger survived and the weaker, the sick and the old were left behind.
With the development of science and medicine, we started living longer and the natural balance of the earth was shaken. Then, our society became a consumer society anxious to explore and wear out all natural resources bringing about serious damages.
Beyond welfare, science intervened in other branches such as Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Mechanics, leading Man to the invention of loads of gadgets we can’t do without these days. We are blind with pride, vanity and greed and we are completely dependent on our awesome inventions. But, little by little, we are destroying ourselves as well as everything around us.
In my opinion, this great intelligence of ours has been drawing us into stupidity and we can no longer put an end to it.
Where is this going to lead us?
It is going to lead us to our end and who knows to the beginning of a new Paradise.

Be nice to yu turkeys dis christmas
Cos' turkeys just wanna hav fun
Turkeys are cool, turkeys are wicked
An every turkey has a Mum.
Be nice to yu turkeys dis christmas,
Don't eat it, keep it alive,
It could be yu mate, an not on your plate
Say, Yo! Turkey I'm on your side.
I got lots of friends who are turkeys
An all of dem fear christmas time,
Dey wanna enjoy it, dey say humans destroyed it
An humans are out of dere mind,
Yeah, I got lots of friends who are turkeys
Dey all hav a right to a life,
Not to be caged up an genetically made up
By any farmer an his wife.
Turkeys just wanna play reggae
Turkeys just wanna hip-hop
Can yu imagine a nice young turkey saying,
'I cannot wait for de chop',
Turkeys like getting presents, dey wanna watch christmas TV,
Turkeys hav brains an turkeys feel pain
In many ways like yu an me.
I once knew a turkey called........ Turkey
He said "Benji explain to me please,
Who put de turkey in christmas
An what happens to christmas trees?",
I said "I am not too sure turkey
But it's nothing to do wid Christ Mass
Humans get greedy an waste more dan need be
An business men mek loadsa cash'.
Be nice to yu turkey dis christmas
Invite dem indoors fe sum greens
Let dem eat cake an let dem partake
In a plate of organic grown beans,
Be nice to yu turkey dis christmas
An spare dem de cut of de knife,
Join Turkeys United an dey'll be delighted
An yu will mek new friends 'FOR LIFE'.
Some of us tried to read the poem without having all the words and it turned out to be creative and fun:
11º turma B, João Joaquim,Pedro Romão e João Palma
When we pick up the turkey
His head we chop
To take away his life
And watch him dance hip-hop
Usually genetically made up
Instead of organic food
You live caged up
In a lie of your own
With rice and beans
We eat in the plate
Also with greens
And in the end it looked like a stake

Hi, I'm a Turkey
I'm genetically made-up
You may think I'm free
But I'm caged-up
You usually think I'm organic grown
But my friend, that's a lie of your own
With a knife
You cut my life
Do you think it's funny?
Then come to the chop
You'll see me dancing hip-hop.
11º C Alexandre Piçarra ,Susana Ferreira
Turkey, my love
The one I adore
I ate a turkey
And I want to eat more
The turkey I chopped
When I was dancing hip-hop
I did it with a knife
To take his life
I love greens
I love you
I love beans
I was made for you
My turkey was genetically made up
But I love him any way
He was caged up
And in my heart he stays
11º B, Catarina Galego, Isidro Féria, João Vaz and Maria Ines Gonçalves
This is the turkey hip-hop
so grap your knife and chop
if the turkey is caged up
it means it's Gmade up
and if you want beans you better grow them on their own
because good greens must be organic grown
We've been rather busy but here we are again and hope to go on sharing ideas, thoughts and words.
